Through The Lens gathers artists working around the concept of found performance. What does it mean to actively seek moments of performativity? What responsibility does a viewer have in “finding” them? Curated by Danielle Ross, the evening will will play with found interaction, found dialogue, found noise/sound, and found opportunity for viewership. Come challenge yourself.

Love is in the air at Bite Studio. The Portland cooperative print studio is hosting a print show with 'love' as a theme. In a loving way, 40% of sales will be donated to p:ear.

The show is not juried, and was initially limited to 30 printmakers, but they were blown away by the response and kept the doors open for 36! They will have a “rollicking” opening on February 4th (First Friday 6-10pm) and additional hours on Fridays (11-3) and Saturdays (12-4) through February.

Waterstone Gallery is having a Group Show & Valentine Fundraiser for Sisters of the Road. It’s an exhibition of new works by Waterstone Gallery artists they with the goal in mind to support Sisters of the Road Café –

As we go into the holiday season besides food and friends I look forward to good shopping. I am excited to be able to get a sneak peak of the work of two Portland artists who often sell their work online to fill a gallery as their store for three days. Laura Trimmell and Donathon Crew often sell and marker their amazing work on etsy but will be selling #IRL for these few days so check it out !

It's not going to be a normal Friday night by any means. "I am exited to schooled by some of these artists and get my party on."

I just got the press release from Disjecta.org but it was Eva Lake who was telling me last week on twitter that it was truely going to be DISJECTA " the Oregon Biennial is to rise again @ Disjecta in 2010, curated by Cris Moss" but she posted it a whole week ago on her blog !
